
Homeopathic Department
Introduction
At present, there are 107 Government Homeopathic Dispensaries in the State of
Punjab. In each dispensary the following staff is working:
1. Homeopathic
Medical officers One
2. Dispenser One
3. Class-IV One
In addition to
this 98 Dispensaries are functioning in CHCs under National Rural
Health Mission Scheme, in these dispensaries only Homoeopathic Medical
Officer has been posted.
Every patient is given medicines free of cost in each dispensary and Purchee fee
is being charged @ Rs. 1/- per patient, however, no purchee fee is charged from
Govt. Servant and person below poverty line. The no. of Patients are increasing
day by day in the Homoeopathic Dispensaries as public is very much satisfied
with the treatment of Homoeopathy. The Homoeopathic System is very much
useful in common diseases of Children and Women. The medicines being
harmless and has no side effect make this system more popular, regular camps
are being held, follow up treatment is also provided. To monitor the system
regular meetings of district officers are held at Head Quarter.
